Role Overview:

  • The need for an individual to serve as a technician for the team, and work alongside engineers to bring up new test infrastructure, maintain current test setups, execute tests, perform basic analysis for validity of test data, and troubleshoot when things go wrong to find root causes from technically complex systems.

  • Able to quickly travel between different buildings to support labs in different locations.

  • Expected to be available during standard working hours, and, potentially frequently longer working days and/or weekends, if the role/experiments demand it.

  • Expected to be available on-site at the Sunnyvale/Cupertino office 5 days a week (100% onsite)

Success Criteria:

  • All automation infrastructure runs smoothly, and issues that arise are root-caused and addressed correctly and in a timely manner

  • All experiments in the queue are performed in a timely manner and don't pile up

  • All lab management tasks are performed in a timely manner and don't pile up

  • Clear and timely communication with the team

  • Requests for support from the team are handled in a timely basis, and correctly (based on any available instructions and attention to detail)

Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience

  • Excellent debugging skills

  • Ability to learn new technologies fast

  • Interest in HW testing

  • Adjust to a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

  • Familiarity with Python, must be comfortable writing basic scripts, debugging small issues.

  • High School Diploma/GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Python

  • Experience in testing HW

  • Experience in building data visualization

  • Experience with Swift Skills

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience

  • Experience in building and maintaining automation lab infrastructure.

  • Experience in running automation tests, generating logs, and processing the data for triage and reporting.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of work experience

  • Protocol Precision Proven ability to follow complex, detailed research or technical protocols without deviation.

  • Technical Troubleshooting: Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware (sensors, VR/AR headsets) and software interfaces.

  • Bug Handling Issue: Tracking Experience logging, documenting, tracking, and escalating software or system bugs using structured reporting processes or ticketing tools.

  • Data Management: Proficiency in secure file handling procedures and data upload systems.

  • Environment Preparation: Skill in setting up physical spaces and technical equipment for optimal performance.

  • Documentation: Ability to maintain accurate logs and generate clear, concise issue reports.

  • High School Diploma / GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal communication skills, specifically the ability to explain technical tasks to non-technical participants.

  • Composure: A calm, professional demeanor, especially when working under time constraints or handling technical delays.

  • Attention to Detail: High situational awareness to catch subtle errors in case study execution or participant behavior.

  • Integrity: Unwavering commitment to ethics, confidentiality, and data security.

  • Flexibility: Adaptability to support shifting schedules and evolving study needs
