What You Will Do 

The Commercial Operations Senior Supervisor is a people leadership role impacting customers service levels, supporting revenue growth, operating margins and driving a culture of customer service excellence. In addition to direct leadership responsibilities of Customer Service and/or Inventory Management functional teams, the role will require collaboration and engagement with other internal functional teams and externally with regional sales leaders (RSMs). The Commercial Operations Senior Supervisor’s primary responsibility is to lead commercial operations teams for the assigned regions for our Core Spine Implant Business. The position will be responsible for understanding, measuring, executing and improving core business processes, systems and practices to sustain growth in the region. The position will support adoption and utilization of commercial systems (ERP, CRM, Customer Complaint) and strengthen partnership with regional sales leadership. 

  • Partner with Commercial Operations leadership to create a strong knowledge base of all the inventory needs for assigned region and partner with sales leadership to ensure appropriate operational plans are in place to meet all revenue opportunities. 

  • Collaborate with various teams to drive improvements in customer/client satisfaction levels and internal responsiveness. 

  • Support the Commercial Operations Manager to effectively manage, develop and coach team members and help to identify development plans and performance measurement. 

  • Supervise and lead development of all operational and fulfillment KPIs to measure progress of OTC process to ensure expectation alignment across different teams. Support the identification opportunities to improve customer experience and provide flawless order execution. 

  • Ensure ERP/JDE and CRM processes are implemented and maintained. Support internal and external audits and timely closure of audit findings. Maintain SOX compliant OTC organization and improve controls and compliance within the department. 

  • Develop, support and lead a team which is the primary liaison between the field sales force and Spine HQ to Optimize Field Instrument and Implant configurations. Gather required raw data for forecasting, planning and logistical management of all loaner and consigned needs for assigned region 

  • Measure inventory performance and productivity levels on a monthly basis. 

  • Lead the development and execution of plans by product line to realign inventory based on monthly metric. 

  • Aide Commercial Operations leadership in creating developmental opportunities, succession planning and performance measurement for team members.  Provide performance feedback and assist in yearly review process. 

  • Set up procedures and training protocols for new employees as well as lead and execute new initiatives on behalf of the Commercial Operations Manager. 

  • Support Commercial Operations Manager to represent Supply Chain and Operational needs in Regional Sales meetings/forums and also enable single point of contact for commercial team. 

  • Assist in managing all the logistical activities required to ensure product is available to meet customer demand and maintain operational effectiveness. 

  • Represent the Regional view for ensuring smooth transition of new product launch plans to maximize sales performance and coordinate the corresponding return of old inventory if applicable. 

 

What You Need  

  • Bachelor’s degree required. 

  • 4+ years professional experience required. 2+ years’ experience in customer facing roles preferred.  

  • Proven ability leading people or processes required.  

  • Medical device, specifically orthopedics experience preferred. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access); proficient using JD Edwards/PeopleSoft/ SAP or equivalent ERP System, Salesforce.com (CRM Software) preferred. 

$75,300 - $156,900 salary plus bonus eligible + Benefits (Health, Vision, Dental, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Assistance Program, Wellbeing Program, Employee Stock Purchase Program). This information reflects the anticipated salary range for this position based on current national data.  Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location.  Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors. 

Travel Percentage: 10%
