Job Description Summary

As an introduction, what does your car have in common with your credit card, your house and the skyscraper downtown? The Structured Finance market may very well be the financing engine behind all of them.

We are looking to hire one (1) intern who will work in our Cedar Rapids, IA, office and under a hybrid work model. A minimum of two (2) days per week in the office is required. We are unable to hire on a remote, work-from-home basis, with the internship not available for students who have completed their college undergraduate education or who will graduate prior to the conclusion of the internship.

The internship will begin in February, 2025, and with a duration of up to twelve (12) weeks. It is estimated the intern will work 15-30 hours per week, depending on the intern's schedule.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Supporting a team of investment managers that oversee investments in everything from autos to houses to data centers and everything in between. 
• The work will be as diverse as the investment types, to include data gathering and analysis, as well as assisting with reporting enhancements across the team.
• Learning to apply a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis that will support the investment team with their ongoing ABS, CMBS and RMBS surveillance and new investment activities.

This would be your future internship because you:

• Are pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field.
• Are interested in the securitization process, asset origination and leveraging data for investment analysis.
• Passionate about finance and working in a team based environment.

Who will be your new colleagues?

• The intern will become part of, and have the opportunity to learn from, the US Structured Finance team consisting of eight (8) seasoned investment professionals.

Job and compensation levels depend upon an applicant’s qualifications including the extent of candidate’s relevant experience and other job-related factors and will be determined by hiring supervisors/managers and HR.
