The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

What you’ll do:

• Developing computer programs using database languages SQL (Oracle, MSSQL, Sybase), PL/SQL, T-SQL
• Programming in scripting technologies: Unix shell, PowerShell
• Designing and creating reports, batch files, data files (so-called handoffs), data transfers, extensions for the Bank's computer systems, and connections (interfaces) between the Bank's applications / environments
• Effectively coordinating work related to a commissioned task concerning the software development process
• Ensuring the highest standards in software construction and documentation, project execution, and software maintenance
• Responsibility and engagement in all phases of the software development process
• Proposing and developing advanced programming solutions
• Formulating and defining the scope of complex changes, improvements, and solutions to technological problems through in-depth analysis and evaluation of processes, systems, and standards; documenting requirements in this regard
• Based on acquired knowledge, experience, and understanding of programming principles and practices – accurately identifying potential problems and consequences of changes
• Providing in-depth, accurate problem analyses (so-called root-cause analysis), also in unusual and complex situations

What we’ll need from you:

• Minimum 5 years of professional programming experience
• Proficiency in programming using SQL and Unix shell languages
• Experience working in a financial institution is welcome/preferred
• Knowledge of money and capital market operating principles is welcome/preferred
• Proficiency in Python, Docker, Kubernetes, ELK, MongoDB, and SQL
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Bachelor's in CS/IT or a related field
• Familiarity with Risk Management, financial services, and banking

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
