We are now looking for a Corporate legal counsel with French language capabilities to join our team.

Daily challenges

  • Leads a sub-region of continental Europe on corporate governance and legal entity management matters by serving as an advisor to the boards of directors and officers of entities in the respective territories.
  • Collaborates with global entity manager teams to ensure a variety of corporate matters have received the appropriate due diligence including support of the director and officer nomination processes.
  • Supports global restructuring initiatives and other projects (e.g., internal share sales, entity transfers, etc.).
  • Takes ownership of legal entity data accuracy and ensures updates to global legal entity management system (GEMS).
  • Consults with corporate secretarial vendors and both internal and external counsel on corporate transactions (e.g. dividends, contributions, etc.), records management, and governance process improvements.
  • Act as final layer of quality control for any work product being delivered to a client.

eXperience and skills required

  • Master’s degree in law
  • Excellent language skills in English (written and spoken)
  • Excellent language skills in French (written and spoken)
  • At least 2-3 Ys PQE in the field of corporate law or within the legal department of a multinational corporation
  • Experience in comparative law (identifying local equivalent to foreign legal terms)
  • Experience in managing legal entities and company secretarial duties
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
