Job Description

Role  

  • Activities within the Vanderlande Operations & Maintenance control room e.g. SCADA and VIBES operations 

Scope  

  • Control room activities  

  • Communication between operations and maintenance Teams. 

  • Coordinate activities related to flight and BHS information. 

Qualification and abilities  

  • PC knowledge on control systems.

  • A certain degree of technical knowledge needed. 

  • Must be able to read and interpret technical layout drawings of a BHS system. 

  • Reading English language 

  • Work well in stressful environment, very important 

  • Clear and precise communication skills needed. 

  • Ability to maintain overview in hectic environment. 

Responsibilities 

  • Coordinate and manage SCADA and VIBES information and incidents. 

  • Define administrate errors, define causes and keep logs of baggage incidents. 

  • Coordinate / support Mechanical and Electrical Technicians plus Product Engineers and Manual Intervention activities throughout the course of a shift

List of key activities 

  • Communicate and manage SCADA information. 

  • Communicate and manage VIBES information. 

  • Actively ensure the restart and operational continuity of the BHS system. 

  • Align airline information with BHS system design. 

  • Work with and assist in the Coordinate of the Operations and Maintenance Team to address reactive and proactive incidents / maintenance as it arises or is scheduled.

Work pattern (shift) 

  • Has daily engagement with Mechanical and Electrical Technician colleagues to work / coordinate efforts to address issues. 

  • Gives guidance to colleagues as to where and what requires the team's attention on a daily basis.  

  • Identifies problems and comes with ideas for improvement. Looks further than the task at hand.  

  • Self-reliant in carrying out a variety of recurring technical and/or operational activities working as an important part of the Operational and Maintenance Team.
