Work as a technical specialist embedded in a cross-functional agile development team focusing on product quality. Agile teams consist of developers and application specialists collectively responsible for all stages of product development from design to validation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The duties initially assigned include, but are not limited to:

  • Participate in a cross-functional Agile development team meetings and events with developers and product specialists.
  • Contribute as a technical specialist in maintaining clinical software.
  • Develop non-functional and structural testing strategies to validate application performance, security, and interoperability.
  • Identify, investigate, and document functional and non-functional issues in the application from design through to validation.
  • Design, create and maintain a suite of automated regression test scripts for continuous integration systems in accordance with user stories and application usage.
  • System management tasks to support the completion of testing activities.
  • Participate in release validation activities and support post-release investigations where quality issues arise.
  • Other duties may be directed by the company from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, quality-focused approach.
  • Ability to advocate and communicate technical issues and quality risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Tertiary qualification in IT or related discipline.
  • 2+ years professional IT experience.
  • Good understanding of the SDLC and software testing principles.
  • Technical proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language.
  • Understanding of web development technologies.
  • Experience working with interdisciplinary teams.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to learning new methodology, technologies and software products.

Desirable:

  • Experience and/or technical knowledge of HL7 or HMF.
  • Experience in EHR software.
  • Understanding of Agile project management.
  • Knowledge of Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience in automation testing.
  • System administration or DevOps experience.

InterSystems is providing a current good faith estimate of the anticipated base salary range for this position depending on a variety of factors including experience, education, skills, and performance.

Other compensation may include a discretionary annual variable target incentive.
