Job Description

This role will play a pivotal role in collaborating with the Head of Strategy and PMO to craft and articulate the department's strategic direction. This position will be an internal part of strategic initiatives across Wealth, Corporate, Commercial, and Institutional Banking (WCIB). This is a diverse role with exposure across program and project governance, including budgetary planning, project execution, risk management, innovation management, and digital transformation.

Effective communication and reporting with management and stakeholders will be crucial to ensure cohesive execution across teams. This role will also be part of leading/managing strategic and operational initiatives such as Continuous improvement program, Client satisfaction metrics and measures, driving strategic plan and associated market research, and represent WCIB technology as needed in various corporate activities.

Stakeholder Management

  • Facilitate communication and reporting with management and executive stakeholders to provide updates on strategic initiatives

  • Collaborate with cross functional team to influence and lead strategic initiatives

Program and Project Governance

  • Lead and oversee special projects for office of the CIO in collaboration with Program management office

  • This role will be pulled into strategic initiatives that require representation from office of the CIO

  • Influence our journey to product model in collaboration with business line partners and chief digital office

  • Represent office of the CIO on annual strategy planning

Program and Project Governance

  • Responsible to work closely with WCIB CIO office to drive operational and strategic aspects of driving business growth, executing against commitments and thinking ahead on how to innovate

  • Represent technology teams and CIO as needed at various strategic forums (Product review, strategic roadmap, cost efficiencies, future state operating models)

  • Build relationships with enterprise teams (technology, risk management, Information security, digital, product lines) to be a representative for WCIB technology department

  • Oversee and lead day-day department scorecard – monitor transformation project execution, mitigate risk proactively and manage relationships with strategic partners and vendors on behalf of CIO as required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • MBA or equivalent work experience.

  • 15 or more years' experience.

  • Consulting experience in a major firm desirable but not required.

  • Demonstrated ability to work across groups, using an influence-based model.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $149,515.00 - $175,900.00 - $193,490.00
