JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Agricultural Analytical Services Laboratory (AASL) in the College of Agricultural Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a Part-Time IT Applications Specialist to support the development and maintenance of custom applications that enable laboratory operations and administrative workflows. This position will design, update, and maintain lightweight, user-friendly tools such as chemical inventory systems, purchasing request workflows, sample submission tools, and data management utilities, using platforms such as AppSheet, FileMaker, and Microsoft Excel. This is a 100% remote position requiring approximately 10–20 hours per month, with flexible scheduling.

This position offers an opportunity to contribute technical expertise in support of Penn State’s analytical laboratory services while working on a flexible, part-time basis.
