The Airports, Borders, and Security Business Area of Leidos is seeking a Cloud Solution Architect to help our customer manage the Operations and Sustainment (O&S) of their current persons of interest systems while developing the next generation of cloud-based systems for operation on the customer’s high-side networks. This exciting role combines the ability to lead Agile SCRUM development teams as well as applying your extensive technical knowledge to solve real-world problems for our Law Enforcement and Intelligence Community customers. Primary Responsibilities
Develops strategies for cloud-based platforms.
Translates business needs into long-term architecture solutions.
Develops and designs solutions as needed, evaluating multiple software platforms, and integrating systems.
Able to design automation for cloud resources using DevOps best practices.
Acts as highest-level technical expert, addressing problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
Responsible for project completion. Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.
Leads a large development team in the design of highly complex software systems.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum experience of three years working with government Amazon Web Services (AWS) SC2S and C2S enclaves
Demonstrated experience with the following:
Extensive experience providing leadership expertise for large scale teams spanning multiple environments (cloud, on-prem, and COTS) and security enclaves
Designing and implementing scalable microservices
Leading development teams
Ensuring security measures are in place within the microservices’ design
Conduct meetings and presentations with Government stakeholders and leadership
Experience with programming (C#, Java, and Python)
Containerization for managing the deployment of microservices (Kubernetes and Docker)
Cloud development (AWS)
Robust understanding of microservices development and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Current SAFe for Architects (ARCH) certification.
