Our world is transforming, and PTC is leading the way. Our software brings the physical and digital worlds together, enabling companies to improve operations, create better products, and empower people in all aspects of their business.

Our people make all the difference in our success. Today, we are a global team of nearly 7,000 and our main objective is to create opportunities for our team members to explore, learn, and grow – all while seeing their ideas come to life and celebrating the differences that make us who we are and the work we do possible.

About the Role

The Velocity Business Unit is a fast-moving organization within the broader PTC ecosystem. We support the Onshape and Arena businesses and are focused on building a modern, scalable enterprise back office powered by Salesforce and cloud-based technologies.

We’re looking for a Senior Salesforce Developer who is hands-on, passionate about building scalable solutions, and eager to grow as an engineer. This is not an administrator role. The person in this position most of your time writing code, building Lightning components, developing Flows, and working on integrations while collaborating closely with experienced architects and engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Business Analysts and stakeholders across Sales, Customer Success, and Customer Operations to refine requirements and deliver scalable solutions
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy Salesforce features using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow, and SOQL
  • Build and enhance production-quality code following best practices and coding standards
  • Develop and customize Lightning Web Components using SLDS
  • Implement Flow-first automation (record-triggered, screen flows, and auto-launched flows)
  • Support and enhance Salesforce integrations using REST APIs, JSON, and platform-native tools
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Apex, Flows, LWC, and data integrity
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development standards
  • Work with Git-based source control and support CI/CD-based deployments
  • Support testing efforts including unit testing, regression testing, and UAT preparation
  • Create and maintain documentation (business requirements, solution design, technical design)
  • Provide technical guidance and “how-to” support for delivered solutions

Technical Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • 8–10 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience
  • Strong experience with:
  • Apex (classes, triggers)
  • SOQL
  • Lightning Web Components (LWC)
  • Salesforce Flow
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce data model and security (profiles, permission sets, sharing)
  • Experience working with sandboxes and deployment processes
  • Familiarity with Git-based development workflows
  • Exposure to integration patterns and authentication (e.g., Named Credentials) is a plus

We value strong engineering fundamentals. If you’re proficient in programming but new to Apex, we still encourage you to apply.

Additional Skills & Expectations

  • Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Clear communication of technical designs and decisions
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Strong focus on code quality, scalability, and maintainability
  • Experience with technologies like Java, SQL, APIs, Web Services, HTML, and JavaScript is a plus
  • Familiarity with Salesforce tools such as Visualforce, Intellij, Data Loader, and integration frameworks.
