Job Summary:

The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is responsible for sales and account management relating to Semtech’s AirVantage Services within the target region and/or assigned account portfolio.  The ISR identifies, drives, and closes new business opportunities; works with the regional sales manager to provide account management support; and identifies new business growth opportunities within the existing account base.

Responsibilities:

Sales and Business Development:

  • Identify and target potential Semtech AirVantage Services customers through research and market analysis

  • Generate leads and build a pipeline of prospective customers

  • Follow up on leads, qualify potential customers and advance the sales process

  • Conduct sales calls and virtual meetings to advance the sales process and drive opportunities for successful closure

Account Management: 

  • Maintain ownership of portfolio of accounts managed and driven throughout the full lifecycle

  • Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager to provide account management support throughout the customer lifecycle for accounts owned and led by the RSM

  • Work collaboratively to identify and close upsell and growth opportunities within existing accounts

  • Ensure customer satisfaction and retention through regular follow-ups and proactive communication

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure smooth implementation and support of services

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall sales strategy

Reporting and KPIs:

  • Use Salesforce.com to manage and document customer interactions and pipeline status

  • Provide key insights to inform a forward-looking revenue forecast for assigned territory and/or accounts

  • Meet and exceed revenue, pipeline generation, and new services wins targets

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, preferably in telecommunications or technology sector, with a focus on services sales

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing customer accounts

  • Experience with cellular services sales is highly desirable

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers at all levels

  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills

  • Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools

  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.

Desired Qualifications

Experience:

  • Mobile Network Operator (MNO) or Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) experience is highly desirable

  • Internet of Things (IoT) experience is highly desirable
