POSITION SUMMARY

The Postdoctoral Scientist, Emerging Technologies, MSAT Advanced Manufacturing will lead or participate in teams devoted to innovation in manufacturing technology, such as PAT or advanced modeling. This individual will develop and pilot new technologies for one or more platforms (SM, LM, Adv Ther) and demonstrate improved process robustness, efficiency, or be directly tied to Process Intensification (PI) or Integrated Quality Real Time Release (IQRTR) initiatives. The Post-Doctoral Scientist will be responsible for executing lab-scale protocols to develop the technology and to summarize the data in several different data systems.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Postdoctoral Scientist will originate, lead and complete projects that support PI or IQRTR and includes but not limited to new PAT technologies, new process technologies, and combination of laboratory data generation and chemometric or mechanistic modeling. The scientist will collaborate with various other functions within the MSAT and R&D organizations to develop, validate, and implement PI or IQRTR projects through first implementation.

Applies innovative new scientific methods or technologies to drive business results. Conducts laboratory experiments to support the development of new technologies.

Partner with MSAT platforms, DPDS and MTO resources to conduct Proof of Principle and Proof of Concept studies in laboratory, pilot, or commercial scale environments. Maintain MSAT laboratory capabilities through MSAT owned laboratories, strategic partnerships with R&D or other functions and partner externally when applicable/relevant.
