Summary of Job Duties:
The Revenue Cycle Analyst establishes and manages ongoing communication with Service Line Administrators and Integrated Revenue Cycle Leadership and provides executive reporting support. The Revenue Cycle Analyst will provide monthly reporting packages that consist of Patient Access, Care Access, Case Management, CDI, and Hospital and Professional billing metrics using the Huron Analytics tools.

- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, healthcare or a related field plus 3 years of medical revenue cycle experience or High school diploma plus seven (7) years of hospital revenue cycle experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with advanced knowledge of Excel

Responsibilities:
- Outlines denial analytics that will be shared routinely with UAMS Service Line Administration.
- Provide monthly reports to key stakeholders across the organization.
- Identify process breakdowns within access and revenue cycle as well as assist in the identification of possible workflows that may be impacting access and revenue cycle performance.
- Elevate issues to SLAs and IRC as appropriate.
- Perform periodic quality assurance checks to ensure that workflows and systems are operating as expected.
- Work with appropriate Operations manager to submit help desk tickets or recommend staff training as needed.
- Share information with front line managers and supervisors and copy appropriate IRC directors on all communication.
- Assess impact (coding, compliance, reimbursement) of new payer regulations or policy updates on revenue cycle operations and communicate as appropriate.
- Notify hospital and professional billing management of any potential audit and compliance risks.
- Provide articles as requested for IRC newsletters, message boards, etc.
- Perform denial analysis as requested for UAMS departments at ACH to identify process breakdowns.
- Understand the implication of each element in the revenue cycle reporting and communicate this information to the service lines.
- Outline measures that should be reviewed during the scheduled meetings.
- Define action plans for measures not meeting goals.
- Participate in quarterly meetings between the SLAs and IRC leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
