THE ROLE: The Service Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing the overall service activities within the location. This role involves leading a team of service professionals, developing and implementing service procedures, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The Supervisor conducts regular audits, reviews service data, and collaborates with other departments to address service issues and drive continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include managing service documentation, providing training and development opportunities for staff, and reporting on service performance to senior management.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Staff Management:
• Create work schedules and assign tasks to team members
• Provide guidance and support to team members
• Address and resolve any employee issues or conflicts
Customer Service:
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns or complaints
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Regional team, Managers & staff
Inventory Management:
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of service parts and equipment
• Coordinate with procurement team to order necessary supplies
• Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and minimize waste
Budgeting and Cost Control:
• Develop and manage service department budget
• Identify and implement cost saving measures
• Monitor expenses and ensure they are within budget guidelines
Quality Control:
• Establish and maintain quality assurance standards for service department
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance
• Implement corrective actions as needed to improve service quality
Safety and Compliance:
• Ensure service department follows all safety regulations and guidelines
• Develop and implement safety training for service technicians
• Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and make necessary adjustments to comply
Reporting and Communication:
• Prepare and present regular reports on service department performance
• Communicate regularly with upper management on service operations and any issues or concerns
• Collaborate with other departments to improve overall company performance.
Team Management:
• Understand team dynamics and effective management practices. Supervisors should be adept at balancing individual tasks with overseeing team performance.
• Conflict Resolution: Ability to address conflicts within the team professionally and constructively.
• Motivational Skills: Inspire and motivate team members to achieve their best.
Adaptability:
• Supervisors often encounter changing priorities and unexpected challenges. Being adaptable and flexible is crucial.
• Decision Making: Make informed decisions based on organizational goals and guidelines.

• Leadership by Example: Supervisors should model the behavior they expect from their team. This includes demonstrating a strong work ethic, integrity, and commitment to the organization’s values.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Relevant mechanical background, service experience or supervisory role.
• In-depth understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
• Experience with developing and implementing inventory management policies and procedures.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and systems.
Job postings will include a wide salary range, with each role's pay falling within that range. The starting salary is based on factors such as skills, experience, location, and market conditions.

DAY IN THE LIFE:
In this role, the working environment is based in a shop with the potential for outdoor field support, weather extremities, use of PPE, exposures to high heat and the physical demands may include but not limited to regularly sitting, standing, lifting up to 75 lbs. In addition, this role may require 15-20% of time in the field.
SALARY:
The estimated salary range for this position is $70k - $90k. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
