Employment Specialist (Adult FSP)

Division/Program:

Adult FSP (Outpatient/Community Based)

Starting Compensation:

24.00 - 32.00 USD Per Hour

Working Location:

Fresno, CA

Working Hours/Shift:

Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM

What you bring to SBHG: 

  • Associate degree in a social service field plus two (2) years of experience working in a mental/behavioral health field required (Internship may be substituted for a portion of the work experience) OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in a social science field plus six (6) months of experience preferred. (Internship may be substituted for a portion of the work experience)
  • Valid California Driver’s License required.

How you will make a difference: 

  • Provide one-on-one vocational services including resume development, job search assistance, interview preparation, and workplace skills training.
  • Conduct employment assessments to identify client strengths, preferences, and employment goals.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local employers and community organizations to identify job opportunities and advocate for clients.
  • Assist clients in navigating job applications, onboarding processes, and workplace accommodations when needed.
  • Provide on-the-job coaching and follow-up support to help clients succeed and retain employment.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff, case managers, and other service providers to integrate vocational goals into treatment planning.
  • Document client progress and outcomes following agency and funding requirements.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, trainings, and quality improvement efforts. Incorporates the Transition to Independence Process (TIP) into services.
  • Documents all services provided clearly and concisely within the Electronic Health Record within the timelines and framework established by Central Star.
