Requirements

  • 2+ years of prior veterinary experience
  • Willing to cross-train for front desk responsibilities
  • Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
  • Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
  • Positive team player willing to continue to learn
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Able to handle a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of care

Wells Dog and Cat Hospital is actively looking for an experienced veterinary assistant. Here at Wells, we believe in the importance of cross-training. The ideal candidate would be compassionate towards our patients, clients, and Wells Dog and Cat team and must be comfortable working some days at the front desk. We are looking for someone with at least two years of experience but are willing to train the right candidate. A positive and motivating attitude is a must. The ideal candidate would enjoy client interaction when at the front desk but would also be confident in proper animal handling and restraint, rooming patients, assisting the technicians and veterinarians, helping with surgical recovery, drawing blood, and understands the importance of client education and is a positive and supportive team player.
