Cashier – Concessions

Job Summary:
The Concessions Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing food and beverage orders at concession stands during events. This role ensures quick service, handles cash and electronic payments, and helps maintain a clean and organized work area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and take food and beverage orders in a friendly and efficient manner.

• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process cash, credit, and mobile payments.

• Accurately handle cash transactions and provide correct change.

• Prepare and serve simple concession items such as snacks, drinks, and packaged foods.

• Maintain cleanliness of the counter, equipment, and service area.

• Restock food, beverages, and supplies during events.

• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.

• Work efficiently during high-volume periods such as concerts, games, or festivals.

• Assist with opening and closing duties, and cleaning the stand.

Qualifications:

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Basic math skills for handling payments and making change.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25–30 lbs.

• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during events.

• Previous cashier or food service experience preferred but not required.

• Busy concession stand during concerts, sporting events, or festivals.
