Project Description:    

Xcel is seeking candidates to support the Data & Records Management group in Denver This position will: 

  • Work closely with Designers and Data Governance to provide document control support and quality assurance of substation and transmission design packages.  

  • Perform tasks that support the management of Xcel drawings and document files within the ProjectWise database. Keep the ProjectWise database working efficiently by creating, deleting and reviewing a multitude of asset, project, equipment and miscellaneous project documents, folders and folder structure.  

  • Review metadata properties of project files including auditing basic appearance, attributes, file location and title block informationCoordinate between the cross functional areas to ensure data integrity, completion and compliance. 

  • Through practical operations experience and mentoring, a successful candidate will gain significant professional confidence and people skills.   

  • Due to the extended training timeline, this will be a year-long internship with the possibility to extend beyond the initial term based on the candidate’s successful performance and Xcel’s business needs. The candidate should be able to work full-time during the summer and 15-20 hrs./wk. during a school semester. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams

  • Ability to learn ProjectWise – project tracking software

  • Excellent Written and Communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Interpersonal and collaboration skills

  • Capable of working effectively with teams spread across multiple cities

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $22.50 per hour

This position is eligible for the following benefits: Pension, 401(k) plan, Paid time off (PTO), Holidays
