Project Role : Database Administrator
Project Role Description : Administer, develop, test, or demonstrate databases. Perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration management. Install database management systems (DBMS) and provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance.

Summary:
As a Database Administrator, you will engage in a variety of tasks that revolve around the administration, development, testing, and demonstration of databases. Your typical day will involve collaborating with multiple teams or clients to design, implement, and maintain new databases. You will also be responsible for backup and recovery processes, as well as configuration management. Additionally, you will install database management systems and contribute to the modification of procedures and documentation that aid in problem resolution and the daily maintenance of database systems. Your role will require a proactive approach to ensure the databases operate efficiently and effectively, supporting the needs of the organization.

- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Assist in the development and implementation of database policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and security.
- Monitor database performance and make recommendations for improvements.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server Administration.
- Strong understanding of database design principles and best practices.
- Experience with backup and recovery strategies for SQL databases.
- Familiarity with performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of security protocols and compliance standards related to database management.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server Administration.
- This position is based at our Pune office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
