What you'll do...

Do you like being a part of creating and implementing new, high-profile strategic projects? This Senior Manager role on our Store Fulfillment Process Design team is a critical role that will collaborate, enable, and execute our industry-leading, digital store fulfillment strategy, improving our digital associate experience for store-fulfilled orders. 

Our team operates in a fast-paced environment, with full leadership support from the Fortune 1 company –we design new physical and technical capabilities to enable and implement the digital strategy. The store fulfillment team focuses on getting online orders to customer homes fast, leveraging the vast Walmart store assets to do so. Our team designs and implements digital initiatives that save on the cost of labor and delivery to process packages, general merchandise, and grocery orders. We work cross-functionally with multiple teams including but not limited to Merchants, Product, Services, Customer Teams, Compliance, Workforce Management, Sustainability, Finance and Automation.  We have a challenging and exciting strategy and are looking for candidates who want to help create the future! 

This position reports to the Director, Operations Strategy – Support & Store Fulfillment and is based in Bentonville, Arkansas. A full relocation package can be made available, but we are not considering remote applicants.

What you’ll do…

  • Maintain an associate and customer perspective to develop processes that are simple, executable, and efficient
  • Manage projects for our exciting digital strategy that will improve our utilization and efficiency of store associate labor and assets
  • Work across multiple stakeholders & product tech teams to turn on technical features and new processes
  • Drive a team for end-to-end process improvement projects: identify opportunities, find and implement solutions that allow us to be more efficient in using Walmart’s store assets -  all the small details to get a package or groceries from a Walmart store to a customer
  • Enable tech capabilities and process design across multiple stakeholder groups to test and later implement across our chain of more than 4,000 stores
  • Identify the right problem to solve and building out requirements to give our product teams in order to find tech solutions
  • Make data-driven decisions and interpreting insights coming from various initiative sources and having a mindset for synthesizing the insights to make recommendations and decisions

What you’ll bring…

  • Experience developing and improving operational processes to be efficient and executable through utilizing experience, time studies, and operational feedback
  • Strong project management skills and experience leading complex projects crossing multiple workstreams and stakeholders
  • Knowledge of the store business will help guide and influence cross-functional partners through strategic high visibility projects
  • Ability to work in a  fast-paced, continuous improvement environment, where you are willing to learn fast and get things done.
  • An ability to operate comfortably with ambiguity and lead cross-functional partners through multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and insights and then align business and technical needs.
  • Comfortability influencing others, managing stakeholders, getting buy-in from leadership, and communicating clearly.

  • Technical/functional expertise in the following areas: Process Improvement/Engineering, Operations Management (direct retail and/or consumer business experience preferred)
  • Project management experience driving large, complex, cross-functional projects
  • Master’s degree in business administration

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Minimum Qualifications...
