U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Software Engineer (multiple openings) in Columbus, OH.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Software Engineer (multiple openings) is responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best-in-class software experiences. This role has responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. In addition, this position works with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.

Specific duties include: (1) anticipate and communicate blockers and delays before they require escalation; (2) handle complete software life cycle, performing application maintenance, gathering business requirements, preparing technical solutions, and defining and fulfilling solutions requirements for end users; (3) review deliverables, working on design document, coding and testing, and performing user acceptance testing; (4) review deployment checklist and monitoring changes, and maintain and support the CICS online test region; (5) build own modules using programming languages (including COBOL, CICS, REXX, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS) to pull required data and create report to deliver; and (6) use COBOL, DB2, VSAM, JCL, CICS, File Manager, Endevor, IDZ, REXX, CA7, QMF and ZOS/OS 390.

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering and 5 years related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience.

Required Skills/Experience:
Must also have 24 months of experience with each of the following: (1) handling complete software life cycle, performing application maintenance, gathering business requirements, preparing technical solutions, and defining and fulfilling solutions requirements for end users; (2) reviewing deliverables, working on design document, coding and testing, and performing user acceptance testing; (3) reviewing deployment checklist and monitoring changes, and maintaining and supporting the CICS online test region; (4) building own modules using programming languages (including COBOL, REXX, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS) to pull required data and create report to deliver; and (5) using COBOL, DB2, VSAM, JCL, CICS, File Manager, Endevor, IDZ, REXX, CA7, QMF and ZOS/OS 390.

Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $138,590 - $ 140,100. (#LI-NDI #LI-DNI #LI-DNP #DE-DNP).
