Assists the Registrar and subordinate staff with activities related to managing the collection, entry and maintenance of student records, providing enrollment and registration services to campus constituents, maintaining adherence to College and school practices and policies, ensuring student academic history is appropriately maintained. With limited supervision, position is responsible for Veterans and enrollment certifications, registration transcripts, graduation, and clearance process, monitoring academic guidelines, degree audit and related matters. Ensures compliance with Family Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and all other applicable laws and regulations.

Daily Operations

  •  Management of student records, registration, graduation and clearance processes;
  • Degree-audit and related reporting; Serves as Certifying School Official for Veteran’s Administration
  • Assists with grade and transcript processing; provides special program certifications
  • Liaison with schools to resolve issues related to registration, clearance and graduation processes.
  • Share responsibility for general management of office assuring high quality, efficient, friendly service delivery
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to set priorities for many simultaneous assignments in a sometimes high-pressure environment, while maintaining diplomacy and efficiency. Completes multiple/ priorities and deadlines on-time.
  • Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures.
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop, plan and implement sort-and long-range goals.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, analytical and staff training skills.  Position requires regular meetings of varied size with campus staff, faculty and students.
  • Experience with Ellucian Banner Student modules and related student information systems.
  • Moderate skill with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Thorough familiarity with FERPA guidelines and policies.
  • Ability to evaluate, interpret and apply complex policies and procedures and translate them into efficient work processes.
  • Initiates, identified and supports potential solutions to improve the efficiency of all interactions with the Registrar’s Office through effective systems management, staff development, and interdepartmental communications with internal and external constituents.

Required Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree is preferred. Bachelor’s degree with combined with a high level of experience in the registrar field.
  • A minimum of five years working in a position with progressive responsibility, preferably within a college registrar office.
