We are looking for a Senior Software Architect to advance the state of the art in the CUDA Libraries for Chemistry Applications. The architect for these libraries will design novel capability for solving quantum chemistry problems related to biology, chemistry and material science. CUDA Libraries are essential and highly visible both inside and outside of NVIDIA and domain libraries are an exciting way to address the unique needs of scientific developers. We need a self-starter to continue to grow NVIDIA's investment in scientific libraries. If you have a passion for science and computing, we want to hear from you!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Work closely with engineering to design quantum chemistry libraries for GPUs and keeping up with the latest research in the field.

  • Build chemistry simulation software for the NVIDIA platform that covers a wide range of uses cases in research as well as industrial applications.

  • Engage with quantum chemistry application developers to understand their unique requirements and help them to advance their science on NVIDIA GPUs.

  • Evaluate and propose new features for NVIDIA math and communication libraries.

  • Guide the application of quantum chemistry methods to solving customer problems and building data sets for machine learning research inside and outside of NVIDIA.

What We Need To See:

  • Degree in Chemistry or related engineering field or equivalent experience (Ph.D. or Masters preferred)

  • 10+ years experience implementing computational chemistry software in a high-performance language like C++ or Fortran

  • Expertise in parallel programming models such as MPI, CUDA, and OpenACC

  • Experience with electronic structure theory and DFT applications

  • Strong communication skills with a demonstrated ability to articulate a value proposition to technical and non-technical audiences.

Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd:

  • Familiarity with GPU programming models and communication software like NVSHMEM or NCCL

  • Experience with one or more full-feature quantum chemistry software packages using in research or industry

The base salary range is 180,000 USD - 339,250 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
