Department Overview

The Software Enterprise Sales team is a group within Motorola Solutions, Inc. that provides industry leading, next generation Citizen Engagement, 9-1-1 Call Taking, Computer Aided Dispatch, Records Management, Jail Management, Public Service 311, and analytics software applications to the Public Safety and Public Service markets. No other company has the breadth and depth of technology and experience to deliver end to end public safety applications and mission critical voice and data communications systems.


Job Description

The MR Software Sales Lead will work collaboratively with the TVPs and ASMs to ensure that each territory grows top line sales, territory and account penetration, and portfolio mix by leveraging optimum account assignments and MR partner coverage. The MR Software Sales Lead will be responsible, but not limited to the following:

  • Lead the overall Southeast region MR Strategy as well as the day to day execution via MR’s, TVPs, ASMs, and AEs.

  • Responsible for developing, maintaining, and implementing the programmatic elements of the MR Program working in close collaboration with the North America Sales Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Channel Operations Teams as well as ensuring understanding, compliance, and execution from the combined Software/SaaS Teams (MR Partners and MSI Sales team).

  • The MR Software Sales lead will be expected to work through others, and when required and appropriate, personally interact with key MRs and the MSI Field Sales Team, to lead a united effort in support of our overall growth goals.  These goals include: Order and revenue growth, account assignments, partner performance, MR geographic and account coverage, quoting, and performance to assigned goal, commission oversight, ensuring Partner training and certification, optimized portfolio mix, and any other activities which may be required to drive growth within the region.

Specific Knowledge/Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred

  • Understanding of MR/Channel Strategy and Operations

  • Channel Sales experience and relationships

  • Understanding of the Government Purchasing Process

  • Ability to work Collaboratively with Others, Internally and Externally

  • Outstanding Communications Skills, Written and Oral

  • Ability to leverage Data Analysis to Align Resources with Market Opportunities and Develop a Strategic Plan

  • Proven Record of Success at Progressive Levels
