  • We have an exciting new opportunity to join Aetna's dynamic HR team! This individual will be expected to partner with the Lead HRBP to provide strategic and day-to-day HR support for the Aetna Medicaid organization. The Senior HR Business Partner will be expected to regularly consult with leaders and managers on key HR processes, programs, policies, analytics/reporting as well as strategic initiatives.

    Responsibilities:

    • Strategic business advisor to executive/senior business leaders to align talent management practices, workforce effectiveness, and/or organizational effectiveness strategies in support of the business strategy.
    • Drive organization and talent review, planning and actions that build organization capability required achieving business strategy.
    • Build talent bench strength and effective succession planning by consulting on selection, onboarding, engagement, development, movement/rotation, performance assessment, pay and rewards/recognition in support of business strategy execution.
    • Establish and monitor organization and talent metrics aligned to business strategy.
    • Targeted leadership development/coaching that aligns behavior with leadership expectations and drives business outcomes.
    • Drive internal HR Business Advisory practices as part of the Business Advisory Services leadership team.
    • Provide insight on enterprise talent strategy, including assessment of executive talent gaps and movement.
    • Establish HR practices within assigned business unit(s).
    • Provide input and materials for Executive Committee and Board of Directors talent reviews.
    • Leverage best practices, external HR, and industry trends to inform consultative approach.
    • Partner with HR Centers of Expertise, HR Consulting and Shared Services in the development, implementation, measurement, and evaluation of broad-based HR initiatives.

    Required Relevant Work Experience: 

    • 7+ years work experience in Human Resources, Business Administration or Healthcare.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.  
    • Adept at problem solving and decision-making skills.

    • Adept at growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills.
    • Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills.
    • Adept at business intelligence and data analysis.

    Education:

    Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$75,400.00 - $182,549.40


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
