GLOBAL JORDAN SENIOR DIRECTOR, STYLING EXCELLENCE GLOBAL DESIGN / STYLING EXCELLENCE

A leader within the Senior Design Team, the Styling function sits at the heart of the code product lifecycle process: delivering the strategy and end-in-mind vision for our product. The Styling Team defines the head- to-toe vision for the Jordan product line. Candidates for this role must be collaborative, imaginative, and tactical, as they will turn creative strategy and big ideas into a head-to-toe styling perspective for Jordan Brand.

The candidate is a powerful leader, editor, effective communicator and a collaborative teammate, focused on crafting styling direction and capable of bringing it to life through presentations, physical spaces, and photoshoots. You must have a passion for fashion and sport, committed to staying on top of current and future trends in design, creative and youth culture, with the ability to turn insights and research into a styling strategy and product presentation world-building that can guide how our products come to life. You can think strategically, demonstrate your expertise and influence decision making.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As the leader of the Global Styling Excellence Team, you will create and drive the vision for how Jordan products come to life for the consumer, developing and delivering an upstream Styling strategy that has end-in-mind reach. - You’ll work directly with Product Design, Retail Design, Consumer Insights, Merchandising and Brand Marketing to build direction that will influence Brand Campaigns, the Retail Experience and our Digital Channels. - A given week can consist of big brainstorms, photoshoots, inspiration moments gathering styling insights and staying connected to current trends, all while pitching your work to cross-functional teams. - You will support the creation of seasonal key looks and styling tactics in partnership with Product Design, and then work end-to-end ensuring the design vision is brought to life. - You’ll collaborate with Stylists to determine styling tactics for seasonal campaigns, e-commerce and retail executions. - Building conceptual retail experiences and ideate on styling presentations for our pinnacle product launches and apparel collections in partnership with the Retail & Product Design Team. We're looking for an inspirational leader that is strategic, creative, visionary and can drive the end-to-end process for our most important products and narratives.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

The Senior Director, Styling Excellence Manager reports to the CDO/VP of Jordan Design, and works with product design and merchandising functions to define and lead the process end-to-end for how we bring the product to life for the consumer. Primary functional relationships include: - Design - Retail Design - Merchandising - Brand Marketing

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

Solid portfolio of relevant work, displaying a passion for the art and science of Styling, from editorial to everyday. - A positive mentality with proven ability to flex and adapt to changing business needs while maintaining creative quality. - Ability to collaborate with and effectively manage external creative partners. - Ability to orchestrate collaboration across a network of functions to influence decisions and drive change upstream. - Bachelor's Degree in Fashion, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Design or related field or 8-10 years experience in Styling.

Ideal candidate has some experience styling in-house at a Brand. - Highly developed curiosity and knowledge of fashion and youth culture, current and past. - Strong verbal and written communication skills, proficient in Keynote, Excel and Photoshop. Mac proficiency strongly preferred. - Exceptional influencing & negotiating skills required. - Ability to travel approximately 4 times per year.
