The Project
The M80 Ring Road Alliance (comprising ACCIONA, MACA, and AECOM) has been selected to design and construct the M80 Ring Road Completion.
The project will deliver a major upgrade of the M80 Ring Road between the M80-Plenty Road interchange and the North East Link tunnel entrance at Watsonia, providing a seamless connection to North East Link. Works includes the construction of 14 kilometres of new lanes, bulk earthworks, retaining walls, bridge structures, rail interface works, intelligent transport systems, urban design and landscaping. This diverse and challenging project will be complete in 2028.
Key accountabilities for the position
Manage all site plant operations
Play an integral role in Plant commissioning in line with machine specifications and program deadlines
Manage plant maintenance, ensuring preventative and breakdown maintenance is carried out in a timely manner which ensures the integrity of the machine is maintained and availability is maximised
Ensure effective and responsive management of plant through managing the plant fleet and project assets to ensure plant availability
Ensure safety & plant compliance is met is achieved across the project
Liaise with the Construction Leads, Discipline Manager, Superintendents & Supervisors to maximise efficiency of resources
Manage the deliverables in the Plant Management Plan
Implement and maintain procedures to achieve high performance in safety, quality and environment
Ensure strict adherence to all statutory regulations
To act in accordance with relevant Health & Safety Legislation and the Alliance responsibilities
Required Skills and Competencies
Considerable experience working in a similar role on a major infrastructure project
Advanced written and verbal communication skills, planning and organisation skills
Detailed knowledge of plant operations, subcontractors and compliance standards in VIC
Ability and willingness to adapt, quickly learn and use new skills and knowledge brought about by rapidly changing structure, process, information and/or technology
