National Jet Systems (NJS) is a subsidiary of the Qantas group and plays an important role in connecting communities and industries. Our fleet consists of Boeing B717 and new generation Airbus A220, operating regular services to capital cities, regional centres, and leisure destinations.

Reporting to the Airworthiness Standards Manager, the role of an Engineering Support Officer is responsible for providing a range of coordination and logistical support to the Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO), including Airworthiness Standards and Technical Library, Technical and Contracted Engineering Services, Maintenance Planning, Materials and Logistics and Technical Records teams. The role will support the CAMO Engineering team to operate effectively and efficiently by providing support to the B717 and A220 operations while supporting to deliver improvements and change management initiatives as directed by the CAMO Engineering Leadership team.

You will be organising and maintaining  electronic  file/record systems, regularly updating databases, providing regular reports and provide data analysis distribution. Proficiency in using multiple IT platforms and interpreting data reports will be essential for this role.

The successful applicant will also provide support to all aspects of NJS HQ office IT infrastructure, seating, facilities, communications, stationary/kitchen orders and ADHOC administrative duties to ensure maintain business operations.

You’ll have:

  • Minimum 1 year in a similar administrative role – recent graduates of Engineering/Aviation degrees are encouraged to apply.

  • Proven strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organisation including senior management.

  • South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) or equivalent.

  • Skilled in MS Office suite.

  • Sound process improvement experience.

  • Familiarity with a wide range of aviation technical/operational documents in order develop and extract reports.

  • Able to quickly familiarise themselves with new aviation software and procedures.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Forward thinking with the ability to understand the ‘big picture’.

  • Ability to work under pressure with internal drive to meet deadlines and targets.

  • A high level of integrity and commitment.
