What we want
The Program Aide (PRN) provides assistance for Mortality Review Program, to include compiling, reviewing, and analyzing data for inclusion in high-profile reports; reviewing and abstracting information from medical records; and writing job aid reference materials. This is a wage position established to accommodate a temporary organizational need. As such, TAMU does not guarantee any set number of hours or length of employment in this role.

Responsibilities
Data Analyzation
Updates data spreadsheets to include all components of mortality review reports
Creates tables and graphs using compiled data to reflect findings for semiannual reports
Updates semiannual report template with current findings and data points
Researches current trends in national mortality review findings
Job Aid Materials
Assists the Program Manager with development of job aids, training materials, and templates. Performs other duties as assigned.
Mortality Report Abstraction
Reviews medical records
Documents relevant information from patient records into abstraction document
Updates mortality reports with demographic and administrative information
Required Education and Experience
College Degree in health-related field
Three years of experience related to medical records review
Three years of experience related to data compilation and analytics
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with intellectually disabled and/or geriatric population
Knowledge of medical terminology
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to compile data, create graphs and charts, and analyze data into narrative format.
Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
Familiarity with electronic medical records.
Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
Ability to positively and professionally interact with team members and staff
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Working knowledge of office software and instructional programs
