Location: Mexico City (Hybrid)

The Financial Analyst, BPA, will be reporting to the BPA Manager, Global ITCI. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Global BPA Corporate Functions with focus on IT and Continuous Improvement (ITCI). The scope of this position includes monthly financial planning & analysis and support for month-end close activities, including capex reporting, accruals and prepaids.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Demand planning as part of annual Target and monthly forecasting
    Monthly monitoring of AUC status to ensure accurate in-service
    placement.
  • Creation of internal orders and completion of capitalization forms via
    service-now.
  • Monitoring closure of IOs upon completion of CAPEX project
    Providing training/guidance on process to create AUCs and trigger
    capitalization.
  • Monitor intangible asset reporting for Corporate Functions and liaise between business and Technical Accounting for capitalization approvals.
  • Own the set-up and monthly reporting of prepaids.
  • Support the BPA Manager, Global ITCI in deliverables, including template design, ad-hoc analysis, etc.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Education/Experience: one-year work/internship experience; engineering, finance or business degree.
  • Excellent Excel knowledge.
  • Good communication skills (English, Spanish)
  • Experience on accounting or finance desirable.
  • SAP knowledge desirable.
  • Travel availability (twice per year).
