The opportunity:
In this role, you will support the Head of Finance Business Partnering to lead the finance business partnering function of AIA providing quality, accurate and timely financial and management information to all business units of AIA.
You will achieve this through presenting and interpreting financial information, and providing insight to leadership teams to support decision making that drives the strategic and financial goals of AIA.
Key responsibilities include:
Establishing key relations with Leadership Teams, understanding the drivers of their business unit performance to provide insights.
Designing and maintaining dynamic dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau).
Leading automation initiatives to reduce manual tasks and improve accuracy.
Establishing and delivering appropriate insightful business unit reporting on a monthly basis, and analysis to support the financial objectives of the business unit.
Being the finance specialist for the business unit, performing as a trusted adviser whilst appropriately aligning to the overall financial objectives of AIA.
Working with the Finance Business Partners and wider Finance Teams to complete the monthly financial reporting processes for each division, ensuring the financial results are accurate and supportable for external financial reporting purposes.
Supporting the annual external audit process.
Preparing divisional rolling forecasts and annual budgets for each business unit, providing the appropriate challenge, support and insight.
Providing support to business units in the identification and implementation of strategic initiatives necessary to support the delivery of the strategy.
Preparing presentations and papers, and facilitating financial discussions with the Head of Business Partnering and Leadership Teams.
Ideally, you'll bring:
Experience in a business partnering/management reporting role within a commercial organisation.
Conceptual and strategic thinking ability.
Experience developing, implementing and measuring strategy and strategic initiatives.
Financial services experience (essential), paired with insurance experience (ideal).
Strong relationship management skills to engage stakeholders to understand and influence business objectives.
Experience in business plans, strategy formulation and implementation.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to precisely and clearly document meeting discussions and actions.
Able to demonstrate ability to make critical decisions and manage outcomes to strict deadlines, with the ability to work on numerous projects and tasks simultaneously.
