Job Description

What is the opportunity?

The Senior Product Manager, Business Deposits Products is a Product Management role accountable for the delivery and management of Business interest bearing deposit products, targeting Business Clients across all channel and market segmentations to maintain RBC’s #1 market share position.  You will lead on key cross business and platform strategic initiatives and be responsible for managing product, pricing, financials, business risks and distribution channel for the following:

  • Lead Admin Interest portfolio management along with pricing tactics
  • Responsible for new US deposit product development
  • Support ADI/BVI/LMS product management including policy, pricing and product strategy
  • Develop the product growth strategy for Interest Bearing product suite including performing market / competitive research, evaluating product constructs and developing business case
  • Perform P&L portfolio analysis to assess performance of each product and identify key trends and insights to inform overall business performance
  • Prepare executive level recommendation and communications related to Business Deposit Product Strategy
  • Perform regular product process review to mitigate any potential business risk

What will you do?

  • Responsible for all aspects of product management life cycle for products assigned
  • Responsible for end to end P&L management and it’s related product strategy
  • Work closely with regional banking teams, Operations and other partners in managing deposits portfolio ensuring alignment.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain product/product portfolio strategies and tactics to ensure products continue to offer strong value propositions to all our business client segments
  • Ensure risk assessments are documented and updated as per the required schedule and that adequate control measures are implemented and maintained throughout product life cycles
  • Ensure effective management of each product through its lifecycle to capture its full business, market, and profitability potential
  • Complete/update policies and procedures for products as required
  • Work with internal groups and external providers to lower error rates, improve service levels and increase reliability to continually improve Client Satisfaction and retention levels

What do you need to succeed?

Required:

  • University degree in Business Commerce and/or MBA – Role requires broad business management insight and knowledge, especially in client relationship concepts and principles
  • 5-7 years of relevant or similar experience
  • Strong business acumen with strategic thinking
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in ambiguous situations
  • Strong PowerPoint skills in creating and presenting
  • Familiarity with RBC deposit products and related systems preferred
