We are seeking a talented individual for HR Senior Consultant (Cross-border M&A | Talent) position at Mercer. This role will be based in Korea.

This role will also have opportunities to contribute to cross-border M&A agenda (HR due diligence and post-merger integration), helping clients manage complex, multi-country people risks and integration priorities.

We help clients transform business performance through people, organization, and culture. We are looking for a Project Manager who can lead end-to-end HR consulting delivery across the Talent spectrum, supported by strong analytical rigor, structured problem solving, and stakeholder leadership.
 

We will count on you to:

Cross-border M&A People Agenda

  • Participate in cross-border HR Due Diligence and HR PMI (post-merger integration/stand-up) projects.

  • Deliver people workstream outputs such as people risk assessment, retention planning, org/workforce integration approach, Day 1 readiness / Day 100 roadmap, employee communication across geographies.

Talent & HR System / Program Design

  • Lead and/or deliver HR system design projects across Job Architecture (Job/Job Grade), Promotion, Performance Management, Evaluation and Compensation, ensuring alignment with business strategy and governance.

  • Support Talent-related program design such as career framework, capability/skill framework, leadership and talent development architecture, and talent processes across the employee lifecycle.

  • Conduct benchmarking and market practices research of leading companies (incl. large enterprises and tech companies) and translate insights into practical client recommendations.

Organization, Culture & Change

  • Support organization transformation and change management initiatives, including culture diagnostics, culture activation, stakeholder engagement, and communications planning.

  • Contribute to workforce planning / workforce sizing (right-sizing) analyses and recommendations (baseline, scenario, implications).

Project Delivery & Client Support

  • Own key workstreams and deliverables: analysis, synthesis, report writing, and executive-ready presentations.

  • Coordinate effectively with global/overseas offices and multi-country teams; ensure high-quality, timely project documentation.

  • Support proposal and business development activities (not required, but valued), including research, drafting, and SOW/engagement letter inputs.

What you need to have:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in HR consulting and/or in-house HR (project-driven environment)

  • Solid experience in HR system/program design (e.g., job/grade, performance, promotion, evaluation, compensation) with strong analytical capability.

  • Demonstrated exposure to Talent/Organization topics (e.g., org design, talent processes, leadership/talent development, workforce planning).

  • Experience in cross-border HRDD and/or PMI is preferred.

  • Strong communication skills in Korean and English; ability to work confidently with overseas stakeholders.

  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in large enterprises and/or technology companies (in-house or client consulting)

    • STEM background (Engineering / Mathematics / Statistics) with quantitative orientation

    • Licensed labor attorney (노무사)

    • AI / Digital Tool
