The Curriculum Developer, K-12 Editions Digital Support Team, Mathematics will help develop digital state customizations of Amplify Desmos Math, Grades K through 12 for mathematics, particularly the authoring of digital assessments, digital practice sets, and updating digital lessons. The Curriculum Developer, K-12 Editions Digital Support Team will report to the Director, Digital Editions – Mathematics, but will work closely with and take direction from the Lead, Digital Editions, Mathematics.
*This is a contract role ending Spring 2025.
Authoring Digital:
Author digital unit-level assessments for state customizations for a given grade or grades, across Grades K through 12, including student assessments and teacher support.
Author digital lesson-level practice sets for state customizations for a given grade or grades, across Grades K through 12, including student practice screens and teacher support.
Author digital lessons for state customizations for a given grade or grades, across Grades K through 12, including new and updates to student lesson screens and teacher supports.
Update meta-data for digital practices and assessments.
Follow all digital authoring guidelines and the Amplify Desmos Math style guide.
Ensure that digital screens and other deliverables are completed on time in accordance with the production schedule. Check off tasks using Smartsheet as they are completed.
Documentation:
Create Jira tickets and ensure digital screens follow through the digital workflow.
Complete asset trackers for all digital art and images required.
Any other additional documentation that might be required.
Collaboration and Feedback:
Work closely with and take direction from the Lead, Digital Editions, Mathematics.
Incorporate comments and feedback from stakeholders, including the Lead, Digital Editions, Mathematics, the Director, Digital Editions, and the corresponding Curriculum Managers, Math Customization.
Working as a team with other curriculum developers, peer review each other’s work for coherence, content coverage, mathematical accuracy, clarity of purpose, ease of use, guidelines were followed, and adherence to product vision.
Work closely with the Project Management team and other department leaders to monitor project health, and identify and resolve issues and risks. Communicate any risks with resolution options as early as possible.
Bachelor's degree
Proficiency using Desmos Activity Builder for authoring and editing mathematical content
3+ years of experience in either an educational setting with evidence of excellence in instruction in math for relevant grade levels or 2+ years of curriculum development experience with mathematics
Proficiency using online collaboration tools, including Google Suite
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines and respond to changing priorities
Experience working effectively across teams with diverse priorities and focus

Experience working with Desmos Calculator
Experience with Mathigon Polypad
Experience with Amplify Desmos Math Curriculum
Compensation:
This is a contract position ending in Spring 2025. The hourly rate for this position is $40.
