Boeing Global Services Digital Aviation Solution is seeking an experienced Solution Consultant (Flight Planning/EFB) to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity working directly with commercial and military customers in the Asia/Pacific region helping to determine the best Boeing DAS solutions for their AOC/SOC operation. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to travel to airline customers, domestic and internationally, providing product demonstrations, benchmarks, and consulting for Jeppesen products. Consultants also expected to provide day of operations consulting directly to our airline customers.
Candidates with previous flight dispatch, or similar experience, and passion about aviation and solving customer problems are ideal.
Essential Functions:
Provides technical consulting and support to pre-sales engagements.
Leads and plans solution consulting studies, liaising with our valued clients to further enhance
Evaluates customer challenges and determines technical solutions.
Analyzes processes and extensive experience running the Operations Control Centre including delivering daily management of the department related to operations, flights dispatch and crew duty elements
Partners with the portfolio to improve product functionality from product concept through delivery utilizing experience and voice of customer.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
At least 5 years’ experience in the airline / aviation industry.
Competent in Microsoft Office.
Demonstrated communication and presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to be effective team member.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in a related field of study and 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Dispatch license is preferred but not required.
The candidate should ideally also have experience in flight planning and dispatch
Weight & Balance – Integration and purpose of weight and balance systems as they pertain to dispatching flights
Navigation – Basic understanding of how navigation information pertains to flight plan preparation
NOTAMs – Notice to Airmen preparation and deployment in the flight planning process
Weather – Terminology and understanding of weather in flight planning.
Excellent communication skills in proposal preparation and presentation
Creative problem-solving capability and have strong analytical and listening skills
