The Associate Director, Capability & Digital Excellence (CDE) leads a specialized team within the Medical Operations Excellence (MOE) department of Medical Affairs (MAF). This role is accountable for two strategic areas—Capability Development and Digital Transformation, ensuring strategic alignment with organizational goals and driving excellence in both areas. The position requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to influence at all levels to embed best practices and innovation across the Medical Affairs organization.
Capability Development
· Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of capability‑building programs that strengthen external engagement and scientific leadership within MAF.
· Ensure learning programs remain responsive to evolving healthcare trends and organizational priorities while incorporating modern learning methodologies and digital learning tools.
· Establish metrics and feedback mechanisms to measure program effectiveness and continuous improvement.
Digital Transformation
· Define and execute omnichannel strategies and deploy digital solutions to optimize external medical engagement and operational effectiveness.
· Equip the organization with high-impact dashboards & analytics that monitor performance, benchmark competitors, surface actionable improvement opportunities, and accelerate competitive progress through transparent, outcome-focused reporting.
· Accelerate the adoption of AI and intelligent automation to generate deeper customer insights and improve operational efficiency.
Leadership and operations
· Coach, develop, and manage CDE team members to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement focused on patient‑centered outcomes.
· Manage CDE resources, including budget and headcount, and ensure efficient allocation to meet strategic objectives.
· Serve as a member of the MOELT, contributing to cross‑functional strategy and decision making.
This role demands proven experience in capability development and digital transformation within a medical/healthcare environment, strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, and a track record of delivering measurable results through technology and people initiatives.
RELATED EXPERIENCE :
• Advanced degree in life sciences, business, or related field preferred; Bachelor’s degree required.
• Work experience of more than 5 years in pharmaceutical industry is preferred, preferably in business analytics, digital analytics, omnichannel skills and Medical Affairs
• 10+ years of experience involved in the life science or medical science is preferred.
• Experience in managing professionals in the pharmaceutical or related industries preferred.
• Project management and/or process excellence skills are an advantage
• Excellent organizational skills and time-management skills
