What would you do? To lead and shape the input into the global strategy for data standards management and governance (with a focus on Product owned data) and ensure delivery of the strategy via the Product Data Standardization team (the Data Stewards) to support business priorities. This includes leading a robust model of data stewardship and ensuring adherence to corporate data governance requirements for the function. (Strategic planning horizon of up to 5 years and a tactical work planning horizon for (minimum) 12 months). Strategic Scope: Strategic Execution. Reporting Lines: Manage self / 5 others. Budget: Employment costs and recharges for a global team of 5 people.

Fluent English with strong communication skills (verbal and written).Data Owners, Data Maintainers and Subject Matter Experts across the Operations & Product functions. Data Stewards (including Ops, Product, Finance). Global Functional Data Managers. ODM Data Management teams. Global Ops Heads of Function (SNO, Manufacturing, Leaf, Procurement, Product). Global and Regional Product functions. IBG for Brand StandardIDT Managers (including the head of BI, data managers, information architects, and solution delivery managers). Project Delivery Managers and Data Managers of Functional Projects. Data related governance bodies.
Roles and Responsibilities: •Inputs into the setting of strategy for Product data standards and provides direction and focus for the Data Stewards (Standards) team within the Operations Data Management function. Ensuring that the relevant Product data standards are analysed, defined, structured and implemented to reflect business requirement and govern the formal creation, compliance and waiver processes for these data standards. Responsible to lead the agenda and content for the data standards work plan on behalf of Ops Product. Manage the Product standards lifecycle process and ensure the correct business rules are documented and maintained in the Global Product Specification system, standards library and DQ tool and are aligned with relevant Operation’s or Brand Standards. Drives adherence to global standards and maximises efficiency of the Data Standards organisation. Proactively explores and identifies opportunities where new/amended standards, business rules or waivers are required via close co-operation with process and data owners from the business. Leads the creation and delivery of these to ensure good governance. Proactively leads delivery of the agreed scope of work within agreed timelines. Proactively manage the risks, issues, changes and dependencies associated with the work that the Data Standards team is undertaking. Leads the overall direction of Data Standards work and maximises efficiencies of data management for Ops Product. Identifies and utilises best practice externally to enhance the delivery performance. Highly IT, Supply Chain and SAP systems literate. Five (5) years’ experience working with appropriate information systems (SAP, BI etc.) in the field of Product, supply chain management, technology or related subject. Excellent knowledge of the SAP Product Data Structure, standards and processes to keep them aligned with evolving requirements. Good knowledge and understanding of Raw Materials, SFGs and FGs Product Data. Good knowledge of the client’s Target Operating Model, data and Product operating models. Understanding of Business requirements and ability to translate these into data standards. Proven competence in project management techniques (PRINCE2) and work prioritisation. Strong relationship and interpersonal/communication skills. Stakeholder management at all levels.
