The opportunity

Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff, and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products, Solutions and Services.  Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications, including power generation, transmission and distribution, oil, chemical and gas, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor and data centers, as well as building and transportation sectors.

How you’ll make an impact

1. You will be part of Transformer Components business and lead the creation and development of design specifications, models, and engineering artifacts, such as technical provision, order technical specification and test instruction also conduct design reviews and verifications and implement necessary modifications. 

2. You will support R&D initiatives with our Global Technical Center, ensure design milestones are met, and projects are delivered on time also conduct risk assessments and perform FMEA to develop mitigation strategies. 

3. You will identify opportunities for design improvements, perform DtV activities, collaborate with marketing and product management to develop customer-centric solutions and work closely with the supply chain team to ensure manufacturability and cost effectiveness.  

4. You will evaluate and select materials and components, foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.

5. You will assist in reviewing and understanding contract technical requirements related to design projects, and support production and quality issues solution. 

6. You will be responsible for ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

1. You hold a bachelor’s degree or above, major in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

2. Required with 1-3 years design experience related to electrical products.

3. Power transmission and distribution, transformers and components knowledge are preferred.

4. Skills in Creo is a must, knowledge on Windchill and simulation tools such as Ansys, ACE, COMSOL are preferred.

5. Good communication with people, teamwork spirit.

6. Fluent in English, good at reading and written English. Good oral English level is preferred.
