Caterpillar Inc. seeks Senior IT Analyst Applications at its facility located at 14009 Old Galena Road, Mossville, IL 61656. Develop, demonstrate, deploy, and support new or improved performance simulation tools for Caterpillar product development. Re-architecture and develop new features and capabilities in Caterpillar’s proprietary 1D and 3D engineering simulation software Dynasty. Maintain simulation software testing environment and conduct software testing, improve software quality, performance, and usability, develop, and implement software development best practice guidelines. Implement Dynasty GUI and plotting features in C++ using Qt and Qwt libraries. REQS: This position requires a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or a related field and five (5) years of experience in Graphical User Interface (GUI) design and development using programming language C++ and Qt & Qwt libraries or related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) GUI development using C++ and Qt; (2) Microsoft Visual Studio, GIT and SVN; (3) Developing & Automizing GUI tests using Squish Framework; (4) Identify security, safety and reliability issues in C, C++ using static code analysis tools; and (5) DevOps for automating applications & tests development and deployment.
