Job Description

The Team: The S&P Global Market Intelligence Content Customer Service Team (CCST) is a centralized second level support team providing in depth subject matter expertise in addressing data queries. At CCST, we are committed to delivering exceptional and timely customer support across various teams. This proactive team addresses customer concerns related to data collection and curation methods, aligning with Accuracy, Timeliness, and Comprehensiveness goals. Our team offers client support for Private Equity, Investment Management, Public Ownership, and Transactions verticals.

The Impact: Your role entails addressing client inquiries within Transactions dataset, comprehending their needs, and delivering optimal solutions. You will be working closely and collaborating with Level-I client support, data operations, data management, data stewardship and product management to provide superior customer experience. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in datasets and be proficient with SQL, Power BI, Python, and Power Automate. You will play a critical role in addressing complex data queries, developing automated data models, and providing subject matter expertise across various data-driven projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for datasets, supporting in-depth data queries and providing advanced analytical solutions.

  • Utilize SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

  • Develop insightful visualizations and reports using Power BI to support data-driven decision-making.

  • Leverage Python for data analysis, automation, and building predictive models.

  • Implement workflow automations using Power Automate to optimize data processes and reporting.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automating and optimizing workflows.

  • Troubleshoot data-related issues, conducting root cause analysis and providing recommendations.

  • Work closely with stakeholders to define requirements, build custom dashboards, and deliver automated reports.

  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement in data practices and tools.

  • Ensure professional, timely, and quality responses to customer queries, adhering to productivity and accuracy targets.

  • Proactively identify areas impacting BAU operations and suggest improvements or audit recommendations.

  • Assist in ongoing projects and user acceptance testing (UAT) by meeting timeliness, accuracy, and excellence standards.

  • Act as an advocate for customer feedback, reporting key insights and trends to relevant teams.

  • Work cross-functionally with product, sales, and support teams to foster a sense of community and knowledge sharing.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Client-first mindset with proven experience (5+ years) working with datasets and delivering data-driven solutions.

  • Expertise in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and optimization.

  • Proficiency in Power BI for data visualization and dashboard creation.

  • Hands-on experience with Python for data analysis, automation, and predictive modeling.

  • Experience with Power Automate or similar tools for workflow optimization.

  • Familiarity with Generative AI tools to streamline data analysis and automate insights.

  • Experience with Spark Assist for large-scale data processing in distributed environments.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with machine learning and automation of predictive models (preferred).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and presentation of data insights.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

  • Professional agility, time management, and team collaboration.

  • Ability to adapt to different work environments and work effectively with multiple teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in finance or MBA.

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.

  • Expertise in SQL.

  • Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, Python, Power Automate, and Generative AI tools/LLM models.

  • Basic knowledge of Lean concepts (preferred).
