What does an Entry Physical Security Analyst – Operations do for us?
With some oversight the Entry Physical Security Analyst, with a focus area of security technology, is responsible for the physical protection of IPC assets using security technology tools and assisting with the design, implementation, and maintenance of the comprehensive physical security technology program. This position is also responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, prioritizing, and repairing physical security technologies and hardware deployments.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position is 25% office work and 75% working in the field. Must be able to perform physical tasks necessary to complete repair and replacement work of physical security technologies. Office work will require working at a desk/computer for extended periods of time. It requires the use of office equipment, fine motor skills including typing on the computer, dialing phones, filing paper, and working in close proximity to other people.
Field work requires the person to bend, stoop and squat, crouch, crawl, climb into and out of vehicles, lift buckets, ascend / descend ladders; twist, kneel, balance and reach. Requires occasional lifting shoulder high and above items weighing up to 35 lbs.; frequently lift items waist high and knee-high weighing up to 35 lbs. and occasionally items weighing up to 50 lbs. Occasionally use exertional force less than 50 lbs.; occasionally carry items weighing up to 50 lbs. with two hands and occasionally with one hand items weighing up to 35 lbs. Frequently operating foot controls during normal vehicle operation and bucket truck operation. Frequently grasping items such as hand and power tools and lift bucket controls; frequently using fine motor skills to operate small hand tools and computer keyboard. Applicant must be able to perform the essential functions of the job without posing a direct threat of harm to self, others, or property. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate for this position will be required to complete scheduled compliance training and submit to periodic background investigation as mandated by NERC. Must be part of an ongoing revolving duty schedule involving being on-call 24 hours a day/7 days a week for two weeks straight. Must be able to assist with external security risk assessments; respond to intrusion detection incidents; and assist with physical security testing/installations, etc. in potentially adverse or uncomfortable weather conditions. Moderate travel required within the Idaho Power service territory, with occasional overnight stays.
