TOOL ROOM COORDINATOR

O’Connell Electric Company is seeking a Tool Room Coordinator to support our Lake Mariner project located in Somerset, NY. This is a full-time on-site position with fluctuating working hours; some evening and weekend work will be required.

A Tool Room Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and executing tasks to maintain an efficient, cost-effective tool program in support of our field operations teams.  This position plays an integral part in ensuring tools are tested, inspected, maintained, and replaced as effectively and efficiently as possible.  This position reports directly to our Tool Manager.

Responsibilities:

This position will include performing various functions including, but are not limited to, the following:

• Receiving and processing orders from Forepersons and Project Managers.
• Prepare and coordinate tools for worksite.
• Receive and inspect tools for worksite.
• Maintain and repair tools and equipment to ensure proper and safe working conditions.
• Manage records for tool maintenance and coordinate repairs as needed, including warranty work with manufacturers.
• Coordinate needs other offices to share tools and equipment as needed.
• Utilize and maintain Tool Watch Software, including data entry and database maintenance.

Required Competencies/Skills:

• Strong knowledge and experience with a variety of hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of proper tool use including safety precautions.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Office, Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Proficient in document management practices.
• Strong communication skills including appropriate phone and email etiquette.
• Ability to manage multiple jobs/tasks simultaneously.
• Ability and desire to solve problems as they arise with a positive attitude.
• Ability to physically work in a warehouse setting which may require standing or sitting for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Commercial driver’s license a plus, but not necessary.

Compensation:

The minimum and maximum hourly rate of pay that O’Connell Electric Company, Inc. believes in good faith to be accurate for this position at the time of this posting is between $23.00 to $25.00.
