Vertical Grinder different Shifts

Milacron is seeking vertical Grinder operators for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Schedule: Must be able to train on 1st shift 7a-3p for at least 90 days

2nd is 3p- 11a

3rd is 11p-7a

Work you'll do:

  • Set up and operate the grinding machine according to specifications of the project.
  • Read and interpret blueprints or design schematics to understand the project requirements.
  • Select and install the appropriate tools and equipment needed for the grinding process.
  • Adjust machine settings to control speed, material feed, and path of the cut.
  • Monitoring the machine while it's running to ensure its functioning properly and to prevent errors or malfunctions.
  • Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet specifications.

  • Perform routine maintenance on the machine to ensure its longevity and safety.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the grinding process.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures.

Competencies:

  • Strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow technical instructions.
  • Good problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues that arise during the grinding process.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age now or within a few months. (Overhead Crane operation & 3rd shift).
  • Dependable, honest, quick learner, good communication skills, and team player
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including any days, shift, and weekends to ensure that the customer demand is met.
  • Basic math
  • Experience with precision tools and blueprints.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to perform and interpret computer functions.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Currently enrolled in technical program such as machining, welding, industrial equipment, or manufacturing engineering.
  • 1+ years of related experience or training: or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
