Job Summary
Provide support related to production and manufacturing in machining (and secondary) processes, robotics and assembly. Considering aspects related to safety, quality, speed and cost. This through the solution and analysis of problems related to manufacturing processes (CNC and Robot programming, cutting tools, etc.), which allows for effective solutions to CAT Engines products.

What You Will Do

• Participation in the day-to-day solution of problems related to machining processes and their secondary processes.
• Ensure the timely installation of equipment for the Azteca project.
• Creation of documents to establish the standard tasks of the manufacturing process.
• Creation and monitoring of processes related to APQP and PPAP.
• Maintain and procure procedures related to Capital and Assets.
• Design and evaluation of processes looking for opportunities in security risks.
• Continuous improvement related with the internal processes regarding to operation, equipment, machining processes and cost production.
• Analyzing engineering change notices, determines any part or process change, initiates and implements all changes.

Degree Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or degree in an appropriate field of manufacturing or engineering,
• Intermediate English level required

Skill Descriptors

Lean Manufacturing:

• Quality focused, and urgency committed per business requirements.

• Ability to effectively communicate to team members and other process associates
 

Manufacturing Equipment:

• Strong knowledge in different CNC programming codes, such as EIA/ISO

• Mazatrol, Sinumerik, Fanuc, Inspection Plus

• Knowledge in NX software (modeling and manufacturing).

• Knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical machining attachments

Manufacturing Processes:

• Strong knowledge in APQP Caterpillar processes

• In-depth knowledge of machining processes.

• This position requires thorough knowledge of manufacturing concepts, etc.

• Intermediate experience in manufacturing processes.

• Strong knowledge in Caterpillar 1E and GD&T specifications
 

Manufacturing Safety:
• Consults on the use of new tools and techniques for safety protection.
• Performs safety inspections to assure compliance with OSHA requirements.
• Designs and implements emergency response processes and procedures.


Problem Management Process - MFG:

• Ability to operate and resolve issues related to machining problems.

• Ability to work simultaneously in multiple projects and decision-making skills

Top candidates may have:

• Robot programming is considered a plus

Additional information:

• The shift for this position is Monday-Saturday.
• This position is located in Cienega de Flores.
