Job Description:

DXC works with large enterprise businesses to assist them with major IT change programs. These programs are critical to our client’s success. We are looking for a Program Manager in Tokyo to lead transformation programs.

You will be the person responsible for the program delivery covering the full lifecycle of programs across varied technologies and industries, ensuring defined performance, schedule, cost objectives and customer/client needs and requirements are met.

Specifically, you will have previously:

• Lead programs to deliver major IT change for enterprise clients, as the Transformation Executive, Program Director or senior Program Manager

• Engaged with Client Executive to ensure appropriate governance of the programs and help them navigate the change

• Managed a group of project managers who in turn manage project members across multiple streams of work

• Managed multiple sub-contractors to deliver major change programs as a consortium or as the prime contractor

• Responsible for the program financials and the scheduling of multi-million dollar programs

• Delivered on the obligations set out in the program contract and have been proactive in addressing deviations with strict commercial governance

You will also work with regional leadership to continue to build a high performing program delivery capability for DXC Japan by championing best practice methods, evolving the services, and coaching project management teams.

Current Program:

You will be responsible for the Program Management of a custom application program for a major Japanese Bank. The program will deploy the solution to its global operations.

• Manage a team of 200 people and budget of $10M (USD)

• Manage two to three major streams of work (each run by a project manager)

• Lead the program through design, build, test of application modifications and the SIT testing, UAT testing, cutover planning, and multi-country deployment

• Reports to the Program Director and Governance group across the client and DXC

Personal Attributes:

You will have a track record of successful delivery with various enterprise clients, ideally including global rollouts.

You will have very strong program management disciplines, working closely with the PMO, contract management, account teams, and the client to drive to the programs to meet schedule and budget objectives.

You will expect both the clients and the team to deliver to the contract; including strict scope control, proactively managing expectations.

You will have a deep understanding of managing programs to meet the commercial contract and financial metrics.

You will also hold project managers on both sides accountable for their deliverables, schedule, quality and budget.

You have a demonstrated ability to collaborate, influence and build consensus, address conflict and resolve issues for large programs.

You have exceptional leadership skills with demonstrated instances of leading motivated, high-performing teams of over 100 people

You have Japanese and English language skills. English is required to interact with the DXC global community to bring the best methods, tools, and expertise from outside of Japan.
