About the Opportunity

As a Sales Coordinator at Driscoll’s, you play a key role in supporting the commercial organization and ensuring excellent service towards our customers. In this fast-paced and dynamic environment, you will work closely with Account Managers and cross-functional teams to manage daily operations, customer orders, and supply alignment. No two days are the same, and priorities can quickly shift based on product availability and customer demand. We are looking for someone who thrives in an operational environment, enjoys problem-solving, and can easily adapt to changing priorities.

 

Responsibilities

In this position, you will support the day-to-day commercial operations by managing customer orders, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and ensuring smooth communication throughout the supply chain. You will play an important role in delivering excellent customer service while helping the business respond quickly and effectively to changing market and supply conditions.


Order Management

  • Accurately processing and entering customer orders into Driscoll’s systems based on guidance from Account Managers, Sales Leadership, and Supply Chain Planning.
  • Supporting customers with order management and managing expectations regarding volumes, pricing, and availability.
  • Monitoring supply and demand and adjusting orders based on available inventory.
  • Researching and processing invoice adjustments and discrepancies.
  • Proactively identifying potential claims or order issues and following up accordingly.
  • Supporting Account Managers with reporting and analysis related to supply alignment and pool week closures.

  • Customer Service
  • Responding to customer inquiries via phone and email regarding order status, product availability, transportation, and estimated arrival times.
  • Coordinating with customers and internal stakeholders when products need to be diverted to another location.
  • Ensuring timely follow-up on customer questions and operational requests.
  • Resolving discrepancies between quotations, customer portals, pricing agreements, and reports.
  • Supporting and managing customer claims through Driscoll’s internal processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives by testing new systems and providing feedback on process improvements.
  • Collaborating with teams such as Supply Chain, Transportation, Credit & Collections, and Operations to optimize processes.
  • Representing Driscoll’s in a professional and ethical manner towards customers, suppliers, growers, and colleagues.

   

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused professional who performs well in a fast-moving environment. You are organized, communicative, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.


Requirements

  • Experience with order management and researching/reconciling purchase orders across multiple portals.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong Excel skills, including formulas, filtering, sorting, and pivot tables.
  • Ability to interpret inventory and availability data and make decisions accordingly.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with empathy, patience, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to identify issues proactively and involve the right stakeholders.
  • Comfortable managing challenging conversations and complex situations professionally.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience within perishables, logistics, or operations is a strong advantage.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally if required.
