The opportunity
Hitachi Energy is seeking a Sales Support Manager for our High Voltage Surge Arresters unit, located in Ludvika, Sweden. This unit is responsible for the sales and support of Hitachi Energy's high voltage surge arresters in Sweden. Our surge arresters protect electrical equipment by safely diverting excess voltage caused by lightning strikes or switching events to the ground, preventing damage and ensuring system stability. Over the years, our surge arresters have earned a reputation for high reliability and long life in all climates and regions worldwide.
In this dynamic role, you will lead our high voltage surge arrester sales team in Ludvika, consisting of 15 members. Your mission will be to enhance our competitiveness and develop our Swedish branch to meet the growing global market demands in the energy sector. You will actively participate as a member of the local management team, contributing to the definition and implementation of our strategy, and ensuring close cooperation with operations, quality, and engineering teams to optimize customer experience. Additionally, you will inspire and motivate your team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture to achieve our goals.
How you’ll make an impact
Lead and manage the marketing and sales of high voltage surge arresters, utilizing your team, Hitachi's front-end sales, and developing new sales channels.
Oversee market positioning, market share, order intake, gross margin (best price), and pricing.
Monitor and expand market size worldwide in accordance with market allocations by the Global Product Group.
Integrate customer perspectives into local strategy using customer feedback and market intelligence, defining pricing strategy.
Manage the use and data quality of global sales and marketing tools such as configurators, Salesforce, etc.
Provide internal sales training for surge arresters.
Your background
Bachelor's degree in engineering and/or business education with experience in the energy sector.
Previous experience in the high-voltage transmission and distribution segment is a plus.
Over 5 years of experience in marketing, sales, or business development roles.
Fluent in English; additional language skills are advantageous.
Proven leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
High customer orientation, intercultural sensitivity, and strong teamwork abilities.
