We are a three Doctor veterinary practice located in the Upper Westside, Smyrna, West Buckhead corner of Atlanta. We are looking for a full-time or part-time Animal Care Attendant (Kennel Technician).

The ideal candidate must have reliable transportation and be flexible to work weekends and holidays, have excellent customer service skills, communications skills and a love of animals. Must be a team player, punctual and reliable. This is a physical job that will require restraining, handling, lifting and carrying patients that are large and small, as well as food and other heavy lifting. Previous veterinary experience preferred, but not required.

Daily job details include, but are not limited to:

-Feeding, medicating, walking, cleaning & monitoring patients and their spaces

-Handling and properly/gently restraining large patients and nervous/anxious/upset patients

-Cleaning and tidiness of the kennel, front and back yards (poop scooping/picking up litter), the lobby & other areas of the hospital

-Bathing animals

-Assisting technicians and doctors in exam rooms or with kennel patients as needed

-Keeping up with kennel, food and cleaning supplies inventory

-Organization of patients in the kennel; belongings, feeding instructions, medication instructions, etc.

This position consists of Mondays - Fridays from 7:40am - 6pm, Saturdays from 8:45am - 1:00pm, some Saturdays at 5:00pm until finished (while the business is closed), some Sundays from 9:00am until finished (while the business is closed), some Sundays at 5:00pm until finished (while the business is closed) and holiday shifts, rotating with other kennel staff.
