Our Global Injectables Operations organization is focused on the launch and manufacture of a diverse portfolio of generic and branded products around the globe. Our goal is to provide access to injectables Quality medicines to Patients worldwide on time every time, safely and efficiently. We operate from 6 internal sites in Ireland and India, as well as a broad external manufacturing network. Every member of our team is dedicated to creating better health for a better world, one person at a time.

With an expanding portfolio of products and exciting new projects in the pipeline, we need to drive Operational Excellence within our internal sites. The Head of Global Sterile Operations Excellence and Strategy will be a key leader in the Injectables Leadership Team responsible to drive internal operations and strategy, and here’s how this role will make an impact:

Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Support the Head of Global Injectables Operations in the day to day operations management including performance monitoring and also day by day operational activities connecting teams across functions to find comprehensive and sustainable solutions.
• Strategy development. Work with the internal sites to develop their site master plans and integrate them into the injectables network strategy. Lead the annual strategy review.
• Put in place a comprehensive performance management system for the internal injectables sites leveraging best pharmaceutical industry practices, leverage digital tools to simplify and automate reporting
• Based on a comprehensive benchmarque, work with the Site Heads to develop a 3 years roadmap to Excellence, create and drive a productivity portfolio across the network to be monitored and achieved for each site year after year
• Implement supply chain excellence for our internal sites including capacity management and integrated S&OP process for the injectables network. Integrate internal supply chain processes across the sites and within the broad Viatris supply chain organization.
• Create a OpEx network leading the OpEx champions worlwide and providing support and guidance in implementing Lean/OpEx foundations at all the internal sites.
• Lead the digital transformation of the injectables network including Dynamic Performance Management.
   

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

• MSc in Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, Engineering or similar discipline. A Business MBA is highly desirable.
• Lean / Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt
• 5-10 years of senior operational leadership experience as Site Head / General Manager in sterile operations within top Pharma players.
• Over 15 years of experience overall including cross functional experience in several areas like Supply Chain, Strategy, Manufacturing and Quality.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively across all the levels on the organization. Inclusive leader. Strategic and critical thinking being able to challenge the status-quo and come up with transforming proposals.
• Multinational experience working in several countries and embracing diversity as a key value to foster and develop
• Solid understanding of sterile operations including experience in managing health authorities inspections
• Strong work ethic, action oriented and agility, excellent communication skills and teamwork are essential.
• International travel will be required as part of this role.
